What is a service panel?
In a recessed jacuzzi the shell is set flush with the floor; pump, jet manifold, heater and control panel sit below or in a side niche. The service panel is a covered opening that provides access for service and maintenance. Without it, floor/finish removal may be required in case of failure.
Items to clarify at the drawing stage
- Panel location: shortest access to control panel and pump line.
- Minimum opening size: per manufacturer service diagram (typically 50×50 cm or larger).
- Panel material: moisture-resistant, non-slip surface for wet rooms.
- Waterproofing: additional sealing detail around the panel.
- Concealed aesthetics: floor continuity when panel is closed.
